Hydrotherapy Pool
Our new pool has been installed with the aim to provide a relaxed and fun experience for our bathers. Chlorination is done by Salt to eleminate chemicals and smell. By using Salt, a natural product, we are creating a 'Green' swimming experience, which is both mild and gentle on the bathers skin and coat and excellent for healing. The pool is heated to 30 degrees to allow the maximum Oxygen flow and is analgesic. As well as providing a safe, warm environment for able bodied swimmers, Hydrotherapy gives Zero impact exercise which is both gentle and stress free support to your dogs muscles and joints. It also helps to restore and maintain muscle tissue. Water boyancy creates a weightless environment which helps relieve pain, swelling and stiffness. The benefits of Hydrotherapy include increased joint mobilization and increased range of movement. Muscle strenghtening and maintenance. Improved circulation. Cardiovascular fitness, heart & lungs & physical fitness. Assists with mental health and general stafe of well being of your animal. CONDITIONS WHICH BENEFIT FROM HYDOTHERAPY:- Hip Dysplasia Pectineal Myectomy Triple Pelvic Osteotomy Hip Replacement Total Hip Replacement (THR) Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease Osteochondritis Dessicans (OCD) Cranial Cruciate Ligament Patellar Luxation Spinal Injuries Intervertebral Disc Disease Spondylosis Panosteitis Cervical Stenosis (Wobblers Syndrome) Chronic Degenerative Rediculomyelopathy (CDRM) Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome (Stroke) Arthritis Muscles: Voluntary/Involuntary/Cardiac Obesity Sessions are 30 minutes for Hydrotherapy Treatment, which will need to be referred from your Vet. Your animal will be health checked at each visit, showered before and after entering the pool. Fitted with a life jacket and assisted in the pool by one of our Hydrotherapists. There is a hoist available for those animals who are unable to get into the pool by any other means. The cost for Hydrotherapy sessions is £24.00 including VAT For those dogs just wishing to have a Fun Swim, sessions are 15 minutes long at a cost of £10.00. Should you wish to buy 4 at the outset, then a 5th session is free. Aqua toys are in the pool for your dog to play with, and again animals are showered before and after entering the pool and no dog swims without a life jacket.
